Lego Robotics NXT - FULL - (Grades 5-7)

New NXT kits allow students to create the smartest, strongest and most advanced LEGO® robot ever! LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT includes an all-new NXT Intelligent Brick with 32-bit microprocessor, a sound sensor, an ultrasonic visual sensor, an improved touch sensor, an improved light sensor and easy-to-use PC and Mac programming software.  Maximum of 16 participants.  Two students per robot kit.


Adventure Story - (Grades 5-7)

Imagine yourself as the author of your own digital "Choose Your Own Adventure Story".  Now bring your imagination to life.  You will use Kid Pix to make pictures, add some captions, and then put your pictures together in PowerPoint to make a way cool story that can be read on the world wide web.  What are you waiting for?  Sign up now!

Fun With Photoshop - (Grades 7-9)

Learn to use Photoshop CS3 tips and tricks to create personalized magazine covers, self-portraits, posters, and more.  Resources include step-by-step tutorials, instructional videos and demonstrations.  Participants will also learn to use digital cameras, scanners, and color printers for their project development.  Projects will be burned to a CD for participants to take home.



Stop Animation - FULL - (Grades 5-7)

Instructor: Di Fowler-White

  1-4 PM

Students will engage their creative minds to make stop animation movies.  They will use figures and drawings for their production and add music and sound effects for an exciting end product that they  can share on YouTube, an iPod, or cell phone.
